Every post on this blog begins with "I haven't seen you in a while." That's a bit embarrassing. That being said, I haven't seen you in a while! Let's catch up.
This is going to be a very thorough post detailing what I've been doing all this time. At the end, I'll lay out some plans and explain where I'm at now, so if you're only interested in what's coming up, just scrolllll down. Feel free to skip around to what interests you, otherwise you'll be here a while.

It's been a while. I've been sailing the high seas, searching for adventure. But now that I'm back it's time for some updatin' to do! I'm going to talk about the show I started and what the hell I've been doing these past months.
I didn't post last week because I was planning for this to come out: See? I was absent? No? Ok. I've been meaning to do this remix for a while. After a bunch of people said they were interested in remixing the original song, nothing happened. So I decided to take matters into my own hands, hence turning a sad song about death into a happy dance song! I don't know exactly which genre this is. Anyway, this will most likely be the last you hear of Squdlum for a while. I'm going to keep making music, of course... but I'm going to do it for the purpose of improving my musical abilities. Meaning it will suck, and you won't hear it. Sorry. In the meantime, you can listen to everything I have made so far before I delete it. You can also listen to the original mix of Absence below. Keep in mind that you can use both of these songs in videos/for whatever purpose you deem necessary as long as you give credit to Squdlum. Big things are coming for Squdlum, so keep an eye on the horizon.
You have most likely seen that Back to the Future meme by now, so I won't post the picture again. But I would like to remind science that they have about nine months to invent commercial hoverboards, flying cars, and self-tying shoes. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go watch the Back to the Future trilogy. Those are some of my favorite movies. Anyway, the typical thing to do at the turn of the year is to make a bunch of resolutions everyone will break in two weeks. I don’t do resolutions because they’re bound to fail. If I don’t make resolutions, then I never break them! I’m such a rebel. What I’m going to do instead is look at what worked last year, what didn’t work, and develop a plan for the year from that.
Ah, it's that time of year again. The snow fails to come out in Southern California... Christmas music begins playing on the radio... everyone stocks up on egg nog and then realizes how much they don't like it after taking a sip... yes, it's finally winter. What? Christmas? No, sir/madam, happy Thursday to you. It's Thursday, and all that matters is updating my blog.
Hello, everyone! Since winter break has started, I no longer have the excuse of college to explain my disappearance from this blog. Which means I should get back to it. Erm... haven't seen you in a while. Of course, things are only awkward if you make them awkward. And I went there. Now, let's talk about what's been going on recently.
Hi everyone, I know I haven't been on here for a while but it's all good, right? It's only been one month ;-;
I've been caught up in starting college and a radio show (we'll talk about that another time) so I haven't really had the time or drive to write a blog post. I'd just like to make this post as an official reference to the schedule for The Epic Teatime's videos, so that you know when I'm not uploading a video like I'm supposed to. I'll update this post if the schedule changes and notify everyone via Twitter or Facebook. As summer is closing up and my first weeks in college are about to begin, I am starting to feel like doing videos again. Which is ridiculous because I should've been doing videos all summer. Feel free to scold me in the comments. At least I'm doing a blog entry on time! This is actually the first productive thing I've done today as I reluctantly pull away from watching Rhett & Link videos. I'm going to talk about how my inspiration and drive works today, a sort of peek into my mind. Are you ready?
I have to say, I'm really friggin proud of myself for laughing at this meme. Which I guess makes me a ridiculous nerd, but hey, I understand a lot of the common language of three fairly different professions! Two of which I've been focusing all my time on, and completely ignoring the third, which happens to be video. I feel like I've hit sort of a block with video right now, and I've been really inspired with everything else, which happens rarely. So sorry about that, but I'm still learning how to balance everything out.
This picture has nothing to do with anything, I just really love this meme. BUT! There's a lot to talk about, so let's get started.
--This is Alex from the future. I've just finished writing this blog post and I think it's one of the better ones I've written. It's kind of interesting, I guess. So you should read it. Future Alex out. |
